Tool reconditioning

Reconditioning metal cutting tools pays off! Doing the reconditioning right and often enough lengthens the tool life. We are able to recondition e.g. drills, milling cutters, thread taps, reamers, gear shaper cutters, hobs, broaches, keyway cutters, countersink tools, boring bars and hydraulic lock nuts.

The service can be tailored to meet your needs: we follow customer-specific sharpening instructions and, if required, can mark the serviced tools with JR Label containing product information and a barcode. This makes tool identification and storage easier.

All services under one roof

We want to make tool reconditioning easy for you. We offer our customers safe and handy service boxes for the tools to make the packing easy. Our service car fetches the tools from the customer’s pick-up spot and returns them after reconditioning. Our sales and customer service team sends you an order confirmation for each order and will keep you informed throughout the process. When a tool eventually reaches the end of its life we will take care of the recycling for you.

JR Label makes it easy to store and recognise tools

When tools are labelled during tool reconditioning, receiving and storing the reconditioned tools is quick and straightforward. The JR label, attached to the tool’s plastic tube, includes the product details and, when required, a barcode. A barcode can be generated if the tool has, for example, an EAN code or JR-Tools’ own JR product identification code.

Tool reconditioning is a sustainable choice

Tool reconditioning is a part of our lifecycle model. The model is based on circular economy thinking: we provide our customers with services that cover the entire lifespan of a metal cutting tool — from design and manufacturing to tool reconditioning and recycling. When the full lifecycle of a tool is utilised as efficiently as possible, cost-effectiveness improves, and the carbon footprint of the tools is reduced.
